PHIL's patented Big Bertha Shipping Container Handler is specifically designed to haul and top dump shipping containers such as solid waste from a rail head to the landfill working face.

Big Bertha's unique container handler cradle will handle nearly any intermodal container varying from 5' - 12' in height; 8' 6" in width; and 20' - 40' in length, allowing a larger number of containers to be hauled/dumped per cycle and more material moved in each container handling operation.

Big Bertha employs a unique dumping mechanism that provides structural support to allow container rotation of 150° while maintaining the integrity of the unit.

Can be used as a mobile container hauler and dumping unit or a semi-stationery dumping unit (especially economical for operations encountering large volumes of waste and long haul distances).

Set up to handle a multitude of container sizes.

The BIG BERTHA Container Handler is designed to safely haul and top dump shipping containers of all bulk materials including solid waste from a rail head to the landfill working face.

By incorporating a top dumping ISO shipping container, the usual issues associated with rear dumping container doors, such as a long-lasting door to container seal and latching chains that effectively hold doors closed are virtually eliminated.

Built with safety in mind, BIG BERTHA's container rotation system has a stabilizing effect on the container handler. The rotation system utilizes fast-acting, over-center type outriggers to stabilize the unit when dumping.

Rotational stability is also achieved in the dump mode by keeping the center of gravity of the load and container cradle directly over the trailer running gear and outriggers as the container rotates 150 degrees right or left.

BIG BERTHA's unique container handler cradle will hold nearly any intermodal container varying from 5-12 feet in height, 6-8 feet in width, and 20-40 feet in length allowing all types of containers to be hauled and top dumped.

BIG BERTHA works as a mobile container hauler and dumping unit or a semi-stationary unit, and/or where containers are hauled long distances. BIG BERTHA also handles containers with lids or tarp covers.
